SummaryThe Infection Prevention and Control Manager performs managerial responsibilities for the Monongahela Valley Hospital Infection Prevention and Control Program. In collaboration and consultation with Infectious Disease Physicians and department managers will formulate, implement, and monitor the Infection Prevention and Control Program practices and interventions to insure the effectiveness in prevention and control of infections. Establishes a program of Infection Prevention and Control that meets the requirements of regulatory and accrediting agencies.
QualificationsOther information:
Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or other health-related field including, but not limited to, medicine, chemistry, laboratory technology, public health or biology.
Must have at least two years clinical experience in infection control service and a working knowledge of the principles of epidemiology and infectious diseases.
Education, training or supervised experience related to infection surveillance, prevention and control.
Board Certification in Infection Prevention and Control, preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Computer skill with working knowledge of Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Proficient in the use of surveillance technologies and health informatics.
